Congratulations on the Publication of Your Audiobook!
You’ve done it! Your audiobook is finally published. Please take a look at the following information for some next steps to take, and be sure to bookmark this page for your reference.
About Your Files
You already have copies of all your audio files as you’ve listened to them. If you ever need another copy, however, you can always log into ACX.com and download them from there as well:
Just click on the title of your book to be taken to the book’s page, where you can see the individual files in the Upload Manager and download them.
Audible Promo Codes
To help you spread the word about your production, Audible gives you complimentary ‘gift codes’ to Audible.com. You can access these through your Sales Dashboard on ACX:
These promo codes can help generate reviews on Audible, since unlike Amazon, on Audible you can only leave a review for an audiobook if you have the audiobook in your Audible library.
Suggestions for using promo codes are:
- Raffle off a code on your blog or Facebook page
- Send one to a reviewer
- Print them onto postcards to sell or bundle with your book at a live event
- Share them with friends/colleagues who can spread the word about your production.

CLICK HERE to learn more about the details.
Ways to Use Your 5 Minute Retail Sample
Your sample can be used several ways as a marketing asset. One is, of course, on the book’s landing page on your website.
If you’re going to be a guest on podcasts, radio shows, etc, let the host know that you have an audiobook version of your book, and ask them if they’d be interested and/or willing to include your 5 minute sample of the audiobook on your show notes page, or edit a clip into the interview. You can also note that if they are an Amazon or Audible affiliate, they can use their affiliate link to send people to your book and receive a commission.
Articles or blog posts related to your book and journey can also include your audio retail sample embedded right on the page it’s published on, which is a nice multi-sensory marketing experience for the reader.
ACX Category Requests
Once your title is made available for sale, you can email support@acx.com with your additional category requests, as you are allowed to place each title in up to 3 categories with their corresponding sub-categories.
The request has to come from the account holder email. Here’s the list of categories for you to choose from.
